Well here is the floor plan of the house. If you can't see it when you click on the thing let me know and I will try it another way! We are super excited, especially since it will hold the 70 6 gallon white buckets full of food!!
Today I sanded an old wooden bed headboard and footboard and started painting them black. I am going to distress them a bit and hopefully they will look more updated and fresh! I have a few other projects and I will keep you posted. I forgot to take before and after pictures but I will try to remember to do so tomorrow before I paint the other side.
Paul did the actual inventory today and will be in Mexico City tomorrow and then leaves on Wednesday. Back to single mom-hood. Sigh...

Well these are some updated pictures of my crazy kids. As hard as I try, I can't get them to be serious for the camera. I finally gave up and took the best of the lot:)
Paul has been here all week working and we finalized which house we are buying. I am going to scan the floor plan and post it on my next blog. My computer still has serious hard feelings for blogger. For some reason it takes 10 minutes to get into the website on this computer but on Paul's it is normal. Uploading pictures or doing anything is painfully slow, that is why I haven't posted more regularly this week. I am going to do a little back-tracking this week and post pictures and thoughts of the past couple of months that I have missed blogging. I will try to post something everyday. Time seems precious-little lately, but since this doubles as my journal, I must persevere!
I read The Star Catcher this week. It was a book that Matthew had to read and write a composition on. It was a good read. We talked a lot about it and the issues it addressed. Yesterday we also went to our neighbor's 1st Holy Communion. That was the first time I had been to one of those. I took Matthew and Ethan so they could see the difference in the way church's did things. I think they were surprised with the prayers the most because they were memorized and hardly anyone bowed their heads. Most of the time we didn't even realize they were praying till everyone said 'amen'. I asked my neighbor Chrissy if they were praying and she would laugh and say yes and explained that they were memorized and that's how they knew when to say 'amen'.
My parents are going back up to Yellowstone to work again this summer and my brother Aaron is building a new house in Georgia. My other brother Eric has plans to move from Georgia in November to Pennsylvania and my sister Amber still lives in South Carolina and will be about 1 hour from us. The movers are supposed to come the last week of May and we close on our new house on May 31st and we close on our house here in Texas on June 30th.
That is it for now, but check back soon for posts on the last few months. I have pictures with both of my grandparents and Easter pics at my parents house etc!!!
Wow, so much time has passed. I some how
accidentally erased my previous blog. It was one of the saddest things...there was so many thoughts, and pictures, and feelings that are just gone. I have rallied finally and after a long battle with the computer, am ready to start. Thanks to Chris(
smoochmonkey.com) who helped me get everything going, I feel like I can start this up.
There are so many things that have
occurred in the past couple of months. First of all, Paul and I have been
separated for about a month. You can pick up your jaw off the ground because it is not what you think. We are moving, yet again and Paul has already left to work out in South Carolina, leaving me behind...once again, to sell the house and see the kids through to the end of school. Luckily, we have sold the house, it took 6 weeks, and the kids were so helpful. We also found a house this weekend and made an offer on it and hopefully it is accepted. Paul really likes his new position and work and it is a good job career move for him. The house will be finished by mid June and that is when we will move in.
The kids are all doing fairly well. Matthew, who turns 11 in June continues to amaze me. Last Sunday I had a very bad case of the flu(I lost over 3 pounds in less than 24 hours) and Matthew made macaroni and cheese for the kids for lunch and fed them and cleaned up the mess and would bring me drinks with out me asking and then made
ramen noodles for everyone at dinner. He entertained the kids and tried to keep them quiet. I was completely amazed.
Ethan is 9 1/2 and doing his normal funny stuff. He is really into origami and has the notion to sell it on
ebay or to try and sell it at the garage sale we are having in a couple of weeks! He just got commended on his
TAKS test for school, missing only 2 problems total on the whole test!
Connor is still a cutie and a struggle. He has such a hard time focusing and staying on task. We are trying to teach him to not follow the crowd and has gotten himself into some trouble recently, but we are hoping to get it all worked out!
Paige still tries to command the roost. I am starting to stick to my guns and not let her boss me around. Since I am alone with no backup help I have realized that I need to follow through with the things that I say I am going to do. She is super cute though and wows everyone with her cat eyes.
Paul actually came in town today and will be here for 1 1/2 weeks before heading back. I am super grateful for the reinforcements! I need a break!!!! Well I am will post pictures soon but I want to post this to see if it works!
TTYL!
