Sorry it has been a long time. As you can see from this post, it is almost 6:30am and I have been up since 4:30am. I train people at 5 and 5:30 then I come home and get the kids ready for school and then Paul takes them and I go back to the gym for more clients or my own workouts. I work about 10 hours total a week which isn't bad at all, but sometimes my clients can't come in back to back so sometimes I have to wait in between(I usually do my own workout then). I really enjoy doing it. I love to see people get results in weight loss and with their measurements.

The family is good. Paul has had an "easy" week which is always a blessing! He is relaxed and coming home by 6:00(shocker!) and we can actually eat together which is fantastic! The kids are all doing good. Just going to school and jumping on the trampoline. That is the best toy ever!

I am going to finish up painting the living room this weekend(I am still priming, so I will finish priming). I can't believe it has taken me so long but it is the two story ceilings that are killing me. I had to climb up two stories to edge the molding. I tried one of those handy-dandy edger contraptions on a long painters pole but it doesn't work. I guess it wasn't so handy-dandy. We are going out to eat with some church friends tonight and to go see the movie 'Jumper'. If you have seen it, let me know so if it is bad, we can go see something else. Have a good weekend!

Ethan says...

Ethan comes up with all these funny things and I keep wanting to write them down. I had 3 things in mind and now I can only remember 1 so here it is:

We were eating roasted chicken the other night and he asked if he was eating the chickens knee(He was eating a drumstick and thigh joint). So funny! I wish I could remember the other stuff!

It has been a busy week. Between scouts and church stuff, but it has been a good week as usual!!

Pre-Valentines

So I made valentine cupcakes with pink frosting and white and red sprinkles and helped the kids staple candy to their cards and got a little something for them for tomorrow. This is the first year that Matthew doesn't have to pass out cards, now that he is middle school. Even though he would never admit it, I saw him looking longingly at the other kids getting their stuff ready, but he informed me that he was too big for the that stuff...

It has been fun asking my clients what they are doing for Valentines.

To be honest, if any of you had read my blog from the beginning(including the year that got erased)I have a funny opinion about Valentines. I don't want to re-hash it here but I have to admit that I haven't seen any panic in the guys eyes as to what they are going to do but that may come tomorrow. I still think that this day was thought up by women who wanted to put their men in the hot seat!! hahaha(That doesn't mean that I don't love the extra day to be thought of!)

Several things have been going on that I have not blogged about. Ethan had his Pinewood Derby for scouts and after much toil and labor on Paul's part, his car won 2nd out of 15 cars.

I started painting again, but didn't get too far since I am feeling under the weather today.

Paul is starting to build us a bookshelf for our room but while I was helping him cut these huge pieces of wood, it wasn't straight(whether due to me or the table saw is still up for debate), but I am excited at the prospect of getting rid of the boxes that are stacked in one corner of our bedroom.

Sweet Connor woke up in the middle of the night throwing up and having diarrhea and came to my room and I guess I didn't wake up like I usually do at the sound of the door opening and he didn't want to wake me up because he thought it might be mean and so weathered the storm on his own, poor little guy!

Paige proudly wrote out her Valentine's cards all by herself and spent hours working on it, she is so excited!!

I guess that is it for now.

Can you say 'Cute'?!?!

I know that I am supposed to keep the confidences of those I train, which I will but I am sure there is nothing wrong giving you a few fun details about some of the people I train. I have a client who is getting married this summer and she is super excited and very motivated. I have several who are post-partum, I have some who just don't know how to kick start their healthy lifestyle and signed up to learn. I have some who are going on vacay this summer and want to look good, one who is turning 40 and wants it to be fabulous, one who probably is at high risk for a heart-attack from his lifestyle and weight and wants to change, and THEN I have these 2 cute guys...old guys!! hahahaha one of them is 82 and told me specifically that he was there to pick up a woman! hahahahaha He is a firecracker and surprisingly in shape. He bikes 11-15 miles several times a week and was married for 55 years before his wife passed away. He is lonely. When he told me he wanted to find someone new at the gym I had to really try hard not to let me jaw drop with surprise! He says he wants someone who is around 65! Can you say 'cute'???hahahaha And then there is my 71 year old client who was pretty nervous to work out with me(I think he was secretly afraid that I was going to kill him) and kept telling me how weak he was. He surprised me. He was stronger than he let on. I told him that he was surprising me and stronger than he thought he was and this is what he replied, "I am surprising myself!" TOO CUTE!!!!! (I hope this isn't breaking any confidences by telling you about my 82 year old client, but he is making it no secret that he is there to find someone, he has told several people already!)

In other news, the kids have a 1/2 day today and so far no one else has the gotten the flu. Thank goodness! Matthew is reading a book that he has literally devoured called "The Lightning Thief" by Rick Riordan(I hope that is the right spelling). I believe there are 3 books in the series and I think they rank up as some of his most favorite books. Ethan fixed the tire on our neighbors ride-on jeep when it fell off today and Connor is starting to do flips on the trampoline. I have to say, that the kids LOVE the trampoline. They jump on it every day that they can. Paige got an inch cut off the back of her hair and is into anything sparkly. She recently came home from school and showed me "a cheerleader move" which consisted of shaking her cute little bottom, heaven help me!!! I am in trouble!!!!

Paul, of course is working tons but went and bought stuff to build me some bookcases. I am so excited. He ordered some beautiful plans online and I am looking forward to him having something to do other than stress about work. He needs a break, and I need a bookcase desperately bad!!

Thats it for now!
