Did I mention???

I am not sure if I mentioned this before but I ran a 5 mile race with a client of mine a couple of weeks ago. I was waiting to post a picture of us at the finish line but for some reason they only got her and not me...so I just want to report that we had a great time. It was an amazing feeling and a huge rush to run it. It was a fund raiser for heart disease and only women ran it. Over 500 woman ran the race. We ran through down-town Columbia. We are going to run another one it the fall and another friend asked me to run a relay race with her and two others. It sounds like fun, it is done at the Army base here and is called a "Mud Run". It is an obstacle course through all sorts of "conditions". I am really looking forward to experiencing that! The kids' last week of school is next week. I am excited for them to have a break and go back to enjoying being kids and not having the worry of homework and schoolwork. We are going to read some good books this summer and do a lot of swimming and whatever we want and I can't wait!

Nutshell...

Friday we took the kids out of school and went to Carowinds which is like Six Flags or Cedar Point. On Saturday we took the kids to see the movie Prince Caspian which they loved. Things are going well. Busy at work. My Biggest Loser Challenges is going very well. My incentive this week is a gift certificate for a one hour massage. Everyone is very motivated. They are really enjoying it and having fun.

It is busy at the gym. Everyone is still in panic mode about the summer. Busy Busy! The kids have only a week and half left until school is out and they are super excited. We are going to be doing a lot of swimming I think this summer. Matthew will be going to scout camp this summer with the young men. He turns 12 in 1 1/2 weeks. I can hardly believe. Ethan got a 98% on his PACT math test! They are putting him in the accelerated math program which he is excited about. Connor was our brave one with the roller coasters this year! My kids were funny about the amusement park. They all agreed that Carowinds didn't even compare to Disney! We are in for trouble if they are going to compare everything to Disney because there is nothing that comes close! hahahaha

Well that is it in a nutshell.

Mother

The name of "Mother" has a different meaning for different people. I wrote a post 2 Mother's days ago and when my old blog got deleted it disappeared. I have always been a little sad about that. A condensed version is about how thankful I am for my mom. She is a wonderful person. She is one of my best friends. She is type of person I want to be when I grow up. She is everything that I think of when I think of the word 'mother'. I love you, Mom. Happy Mother's Day!

Matthew...

I walked into my room to see this cute scene. Matthew was reading to Paige and she was sitting on his back looking over his shoulder to listen. Super cute
Matthew has to do a project for school on a historical non-fiction book. His book took place in the 1400's and took place in Oxford, England. He decided to build Oxford and has just about finished the outer walls and will be starting the little town inside. He is building it out of sugar cubes. I have to say, it is turning out pretty cool! It isn't due until May 23rd and I am very glad he is not procrastinating on this project!

Cool Web-site

You all probably know about this website and I am just behind the times but if you haven't checked it out yet, look at www.healthygrocerylist.com. It has tons of recipes with the nutritional info. If you want the recipe, you just select it and it will generate a grocery list for you! Super cool and easy and tons of recipes to try.

No Pain, No Loss and a Little Competition....

It is hard to believe how fast the weeks fly by. Seriously. It is insane. So, to motivate my clients I have pondered(since January) doing the "Biggest Loser" with my clients. Well after much planning, we will be starting tomorrow. I have about 18 clients who want to do it. There will be no elimination but weekly incentives such as additional free training, gift certificates etc... For the overall winner, who has the greatest percent of loss overall, I am offering a month of free training for as many sessions as they want. So if they came 5 times a week for the month it would amount to $500 at our sale price! We will be doing this for the next 8 weeks and will have Friday weigh-ins. We won't be having any kind of group competition, however, just because everyone is on different work schedules etc...(I thought and thought how I could manage this but it literally impossible, everyone has a life and a job hahahahaha) I am super excited and so are my clients. They are looking forward to a little competition to motivate them plus the bonus of weight loss! I have to say it is going to be very interesting to see what happens, and of course, I will keep you posted!

My motto of late to my clients who, in the middle of reps say that it is starting to burn is "No pain, No loss" They all think it is funny and get through it knowing that the burn is good and that they are getting in shape and losing weight. HAHAHAHA But luckily it isn't really pain right?? More or less just the burning of using the muscles right??? That is what I keep telling them and then when they are done with the reps, it feels better!(It is called brainwashing)

Revision...

Paul informed me last night, after reading the blog, that the CMA was not as hard as the CPA so I wanted to retract that comment from the previous post and ammend it to this. (hahhahaha)
