This week has been crazy busy. I am just starting to get an inkling about the whole bumber sticker that reads: Mom's taxicab. Between running Ethan to gymnastics three times this week(it will normally be just two), Connor and Matthew going to tennis twice this week on different days, scouts and young mens it is crazy!!! We go to the tennis courts Monday through Thursday, but luckily they are only 6 minutes away. Now gymnastics is unfortunately on the other side of nowhere...but I guess that is just how it goes. I picked up Ethan's book for orchestra. He wanted to try it out this year at school and has chosen to play the viola. Paige is getting into mischief at school. I am sure my mom would say this is payback for my early school years but...
We are heading down to Atlanta this weekend for Labor day. We all looking forward to it.
I think that is all the news for now!

Paige and Mrs. Doran

Ethan and Mrs. Price

Connor and Mrs. Goodson
They are off to another school year. I think it is going to be a busy year with Scouts, young mens, gymnastics(Ethan), and tennis(Matthew and Connor) and maybe dance for Paige. Ethan just made it onto the competitive boys team which he was excited about. He wanted to try out for it(I think after watching the boys gymnastics at the Olympics) and wants to earn some gold medals of his own. We will see!!
Okay, so I am sick of my ringtone on my phone that I have had...forever so I am asking for some suggestions for a cool new ringtone for my phone. I seriously need help!!!
I realized today how spoiled I am when I had to do the dishes by hand because there is something wrong with our dishwasher. Of course and panic set in when I found out that no one could come look at it till next Wednesday!! I read through the manual and did some of the stuff in there and I am pretty sure it is something easily fixed but I just can't figure it out!!!! I made sure that for lunch I broke out the paper plates to minimize the amount of
dishes I would have to do
hahahha, How Pathetic!!!! I didn't realize how much I loved my dishwasher!!
This is a picture of Paige at the beginning of summer. We decided that for the summer, short hair would be better. I have to admit, I was shocked to see how much hair was on the floor of the salon when they were done!

Paige turned 6 on the 6th of August. She has been counting down her birthday for months. We had a little family party and she got a new bicycle, some clothes and some Barbies. The Barbie thing is very new to us. I have put it off for quite awhile and she hasn't really asked for any but we didn't know what to get her so we took a dive and got her two Barbies and some clothes. She seems to like them!

Here is another before shot of her hair before we cut it.

Make a wish Paige!

Our friend Angie found this outfit at a garage sale and thought of Paige. It is pink and white
hounds tooth with a Satin bow in front. I think she is getting ready to either be a first lady or a debutante!

This is Paige on her birthday. This is a very real picture of her. She is all about sass and popping her hip to the side like this. Her
blonde hair, tan skin and unusual gold eyes make her an absolute stunning little beauty and one who makes me worried! She already chases boys:(

It is hard to believe she is 6. She has grown up so fast and the years have just flown. It seems like yesterday she was just born but there are some things that haven't changed. One of them is Paul's complete and utter devotion to her. Talk about a smitten father. When she is 16, I have a feeling she is going to bat her eyelashes at her daddy and ask for a car and Paul is going to turn to jello and ask what kind, color and make! She was sassy when she was little and still is. She is so
girly but at the same time runs with the boys like she is one of them. She is always trying to keep up. She loves to wear pink and purple and sparkles but has recently decided she wouldn't wear anything but jeans and t-shirts. The dress on her birthday was a surprise and she only wears one to church. She has just a little smattering of freckles across her nose and has the command of her brothers, especially Matthew. She is a good listener and mostly does the things I ask her too. She is starting piano and will sit and practice without me telling her to do it. She is sweet and loving and just straight up adorable!
I am seriously considering running the Kiawah Marathon/ 1/2 marathon in December. December 6 to be exact. It is on the beautiful island of Kiawah about 1 1/2 hours from me. It is a very flat course and ideal for a first timer(me!!) It is $75 for the 1/2 Marathon and $85 for the full Marathon. I understand that registration gets full fast because it is such a great race. I have a couple of programs for helping to train for it if anyone is interested. I would love to for some other people to join me, are their any takers??????
One of my best friends flew out this past weekend for the release of the Breaking Dawn book. Nanette and I drove to Myrtle Beach...by ourselves, stayed in a great condo on the beach...by ourselves, shopped...by ourselves, and ate good food...by ourselves, and read...by ourselves, and took long walks on the beach...by ourselves with no crying, whining, boredom, fighting, and people eating my food. I didn't feel guilty that I was neglecting kids while I read to my hearts content. I slept whenever I wanted, uninterrupted, and ate without anyone commenting on what I was eating or looking to see what I was eating or asking me how many calories was in something I was eating or saying that they were surprised that I was eating something I shouldn't(I ate chocolate cake from PF
Changs in total peace without anyone giving me a hard time about me eating it!) It was utter heaven!!! I had the most relaxing weekend I have had in...I can't even think! It was so wonderful! I can't even say enough about it!! Though, I do have to mention that yesterday I was so sick to my stomach almost all day, I think due to the deliciously unhealthy foods I ate all weekend, that I usually don't eat in the quantities that I did..
lol!!!! And I loved the book! I can't wait for Midnight Sun to come out!!!!!!!!
